Aywas is a collectible pet site for older teens and adults. Adopt as many pets as you want, and explore the seven regions of Ay for wild pets to capture and add to your collection. We are a submission-based virtual pet website, so you can color pets, create items, and create Human Avatar clothes for everyone else to enjoy. We offer battling, breeding, mini-games, an active forum, and the ability to create your own custom aywas. Color the adoptable bases, and even edit them to look more like your characters. The possibilities are endless!

Today I am bringing you a user-run event that is being officially co-sponsored by me, but all credit goes to the user running the event, Foxtrot (#40289). I'm here to support the event where I can with prizes and advice, but all the heavy lifting was done far before the idea was even brought to me for sponsorship! 5 events are open for all users to discover: 2 events are only open to users who are customers of their shop: Fresh Designs -- Note: The restricted events are for pre-existing customers only at this time; see the explanations on the 2 events. Scaredy Tickets have started dropping in the Spooky Forest. I wonder if they might be related to all of this... hmmm... I would hold on to those if you find some ;) I want to highlight this event specifically:

Registration is: OPEN Keep an eye out, because we will be asking for the user base's help voting for the winners of this contest after registrations close, and you could win prizes just for voting!

Right now, the plan is for the event to run on the same timeline as Ghoulish Gala, so there is a soft end date of 10/31. Keep an eye on the linked thread for all official updates from Foxtrot. The spooky season has arrived - you can now access the Ghoulish Gala Hub, which is located under the Community tab! You can also make some friends (or enemies) through Trick or Treating! Here's a quick refresher on how it works! Sending Requests You can visit the Trick or Treating page to start. Listed there are currently online Aywans interested in accepting Trick or Treat requests. Just click on the "Trick or Treat" button below their name to send the request. You can send requests to an Aywan every 30 minutes. This page will update itself when an Aywan's online status changes. Processing Requests On the side menu of the site, there's a Trick or Treat status box. As you receive requests, your visitor count will change. You can click this number (or go to My Visitors) to view your requests. From there, you'll have the option to trick or treat your visitor.

Treating visitors will cost 1,000 BP each at minimum.

Tricking visitors is free! You have 15 minutes to respond to a Trick or Treat request before it expires. Avoiding Users One new addition to your Trick or Treating experience is the Avoid Users feature. Entering the ID of the user you'd like to avoid will hide that particular user on the Trick or Treat list. The user will still appear on your Visitors Page, but the buttons will be removed to prevent you from accidentally interacting with them. Note: this feature is browser and cache specific. If you're swapping browsers or clear your cache, your list will be wiped. All users are still expected to be mindful while Trick or Treating and avoid contacting users they have a DNC with, even with the Avoid feature. Candy Leaderboard For the competitive crowd, we have a Trick or Treat High Scores! Your score will rise alongside your candy gains, but your score will fall when you lose candy through events, such as your bag ripping and an NPC stealing your candy. Your score will not be affected by you spending your candy, however, such as giving your candy to Claude for safekeeping and spending your candy at the Seasonal Shop. Climb the ranks high enough, and you may find yourself in possession of a trophy or commemorative prize!

If trick or treating your fellow Aywans isn't for you, don't forget that you can always Trick or Treat the NPCs instead! Swing by the Site Characters page and trick or treat them when they are available. Located on the Trick or Treat status box is a Karma Meter. As you send trick or treat requests or trick visitors, you will incur negative (orange) karma. Vise-versa, treating users will give you positive (green) karma. Both karma levels have their benefits and risks, so experiment around!

The Pumpkin Patch is now open as well! Remember, any and all messages left in pumpkins must follow the Terms of Service. Additionally, the pumpkins cannot be tagged as [M]ature, so do not put anything that may need this tag into the pumpkins. If you pick up a pumpkin that violates either of these rules, please PM a staff member. Be kind, and have fun!

Starting tomorrow, October 5th, you will be able to collect one festive item per day from the Advent Calendar! Will it be a yummy treat or something spooky? Check in every day to find out!

You can now collect herbs from the Greenhouse to use in Rowan's Potion Brewing, but be wary of what you grab - Minerva is watching!

The Spooky Forest is now open! As you adventure through it, you will be able to pick up Bootato, which will be one of the currencies used for the Seasonal Shop! You can find any pets that you may have missed out on from previous years!

As a reminder, the submission threads for the Ghoulish Gala are currently open in the Events forum! Please keep in mind that if you are submitting a pet, the site pet thread is where the design will be available to everyone. The Cauldron thread is for designs that will be given out as a custom pet during the event, which means only one person will obtain that design. The deadline to submit your entries is 11:59 PM AST on October 18th!

The Ghoulish Gala festivities will continue through 11:59 PM AST on October 31st!

Starting off, we have our GP Shop and BP Shop pets, which will be obtainable through the Essence of Septober 2026! This is the final month that this potion will be available!
